Back to designing cowboys.

Outside Lands

So this past weekend I went to a 3 day music festival at Golden Gate park in San Francisco.

Jack White was there with his new band "The Dead Weather", and they were without a doubt one of the most captivating performances there. They may not have been my favorite band of the festival, but they completely owned the stage.

I've been re-watching some of the videos on youtube, and did this doodle in the meantime...

Back To The West

Here are some more doodles for the western project I'm (slowly) working on.
Most of these are not finished pieces or anything- just playing with ideas.

Hope you like em.

Giddyup.

Sketchcrawl Scrawlings

Just some pages from Sketchcrawl last weekend.  Some good, some not so good... All fun.

Sketchcrawl

My friend from work Goro Fujita put together a video of our time at Sketchcrawl on Saturday in SF. Check it out!

I will be posting drawings from the day as soon as I can get to it, and I've posted some pictures on my photo blog that you can check out now if you're so inclined...

A New Outlet

So I'm starting up a new photo blog in an effort to take more pictures.
Please stop by and check it out if you have a second.

Sketches!

Recently, we had a mini comic-convention at DreamWorks where a bunch of amazing artists set up booths and showed off their personal work.

In preparation for the con, I had a number of "sketchbooks" printed off consisting of work from my blog and sketchbooks.

The PDI-Con (as it was called) has passed, and I have some left over.

If anyone is interested, I'm selling them for $10 a book.

Each book is 27 pages and comes with a free postcard!

If you would like one, please email me at spguy_25@yahoo.com, and we'll work out the details!

Ps--Just went to my first WonderCon in San Francisco---boy was it inspiring!!

Out With The Old, In With The New...

I was having a difficult time figuring out how I wanted this villain to look, but I think I'm finally happy with this guy...

Some expressions for the Janitor. I think he might look a little older here than I want him to be...

Every Bar needs a Tender...
Not quite sure who this guy is, but for some reason...I kinda like him.

Seeing as how we're well on our way through January, and February is fast approaching, I thought it was time to get Santa off the top of my page.

These are some sketches I've been doing for a personal project I'm working on. I'll post more as I have them...

Just Wouldn't be Christmas...

...if Santa didn't make an appearance.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a Good Night.

Happy Holidays

Here is the christmas card I designed for this year's Holiday Season.

Merry Christmas Everyone!!

Caricatures

Just playin around with some caricatures of some of the year's biggest money-makers (and random celebrities)...
Hope you enjoy!

The Pumpkin Man

When all else fails....
Just throw in some Eyvind Earle trees.

Everybody Get Your Vote On!!!!

Is It That Time Already???

...there will probably be more of these...

The Man and the Bird

Just doodling during downtime =)

Good Vs. Evil

This is just something I was working on a while back that I never got around to posting.

The idea is that this angel and devil that are always competing with each other to accomplish some sort of task...

Despite all of the devil's efforts, the angel usually comes out on top.  Sort of a "roadrunner/coyote" type of thing...

DUCK Show and Totoro

Now that some of the dust has settled and I've had some time to breathe again, I thought I'd post some of the work from the two galleries I was involved in; the DUCK!!! show (at D-Structure through September) and the Totoro Forest Project, which took place last Saturday at PIXAR.

These are the pieces I submitted for the DUCK gallery (and I hope to post some other work and photos soon)...

...And this is the piece that I submitted to the Totoro Forest Project (unfortunately I don't have a decent photo of it framed, but hopefully I will be able to get one...
